December

Hey, folks!

It's officially closing in on that lovely holiday season! I hope you're all enjoying the chance to eat lots of comfort food, and spend time with family and friends!

There are a few policy-changes I'd like everybody to be aware of, now that December is under way:

First, I'm switching my invoicing software, so I'll now be attaching a google docs file in an email, rather than sending you a link to a separate website. Hopefully, that'll streamline things a little bit.

Secondly, I will now be charging for lessons cancelled without at least 24-hours' advance notice. I understand that scheduling during the month of December can get pretty wacky, planning around winter break, so please do let me know what your schedule will look like as soon as possible. I will be available on December 27th and 28th, so, unless otherwise notified, I will expect to meet at our regularly scheduled time. If you'd like to schedule makeup-lessons for missed sessions, my availability is as follows:

Tuesdays - 10am - 1pm (unavailable 12/25)
Wednesdays - 10am - 1pm (unavailable 12/26)
Thursdays - 10am - 3pm
Fridays - 10am - 1pm, 1:30-2:30pm, and 3-5pm

I'd also like to start looking ahead to a recital in February. I'd like to set aside a Saturday or Sunday afternoon in mid-February, so that we can have a chance to show off all our progress, and to meet and greet all the wonderful siblings, parents, and violinists who make up this studio. Let me know if there's a weekend that would work best for you, or if there are any days that would not work at all, and I'll get to plannin'!

Thank you for the support you provide your budding violinist, and for being a lifelong student of music yourself!

Invoicing and Scheduling Changes

This little ol' violin studio is gettin' organized!

Starting November 1st, I'll be implementing an invoice system, so that parents, students, and I can stay even more on top of lesson scheduling and payments. Lesson payments will continue to be due on the first lesson of each month. I will also email a copy of the paid invoice for your records.

You can find a sample copy of the invoice here.

I will confirm the following month's schedule either in person, on the phone, or via email, before creating the invoice. You can check to see when I have you scheduled, by looking at the calendar page of my website here. (Note that there will be no lessons on Thursday and Friday, November 22nd and 23rd, for Thanksgiving weekend!)

Please give me as much advance notice as possible if you will be unable to attend all scheduled lessons. Starting in December 1st, I will be charging for lessons canceled without at least 24-hours advance notice. Please don't hesitate to give me a call, text, or email if you have any questions or concerns.

Thanks a lot!

Welcome!

Hey folks!

Welcome to my new website! I hope this can help keep everybody in the loop with the goings-on among our elite team of hard-working students, dedicated parents, and little ol' me. It's just getting started, but things should be up and running soon.

Until then, happy practicing!

Lauren
